Kaarthikeyan
President
D.R. Kaarthikeyan, a former Indian
Police Service officer, has served at national and international
levels, retired as the Director of the prestigious Central Bureau
of Investigation of India. Earlier, he was Chief of Intelligence
and Security of Karnataka State, DIG of Railway Police, Director
of Trade Promotion in Australia with headquarters in Sydney, Diplomat
and Head of Chancery and Consular Division of the Embassy of India
in Moscow, Director-General of Central Reserve Police Force; and
Director-General in the National Human Rights Commission
He
was also the Chief of Investigation of former Prime Minister Rajiv
Gandhi assassination case.
Currently he is visiting Professor
in prestigious Institutions; President of Magus Media which publishes
‘Life Positive’ Magazines; President of “NAAM Ulavar”, a farmer’s
magazine; Chairperson/ Patron/ President/ Deputy Chairman/Adviser/Member
in several voluntary organizations including World Community
Service Centre, National Agriculturists Awareness Movement, Bharat
Bio-Fuels Growers and Manufacturers Association, Human Rights Organization,
National Alliance for Fundamental Right to Education, Bramakumari’s
Academy for a Better World, All-India Conference of Intellectuals,
World Congress for Peace and Harmony, Indian
He has participated in several National
and international conferences and published papers on matters relating
to Law, Human Rights, Ethics, Terrorism, Peace, Non-violence, Harmony
of Religions, Spirituality, Environment, Agriculture and Management.
Visited over 100-Countries.
He is also the author of bestseller
- “Triumph of Truth – Rajiv Gandhi Assassination – The Investigation”.
Also has published a book on “Human Rights – Problems and Solutions”.
Co-editor (along with Prof. L. S. Germani, Link Campus University,
Rome) of “Pathways out of Terrorism and Insurgency:
the Dynamics of Political Violence and Peace Processes in Contemporary
Societies”.

Mallika A Joseph, Ph D
Secretary
Dr Joseph researches on various issues relating to South Asian security. In particular, she works on security sector reforms and has worked with the DFID on a study on Security Sector Reforms in Asia. In 2007 and in 2006, she was part of the DFID high-level technical team that offered consultancy for broad based SSR engagement in Guyana.
Her areas of interests include security sector reforms, international terrorism, Left Extremism, improvised explosive devices, small arms and light weapons.
She has co-authored three books, Small Arms and the Security Debate in South Asia, Anti-Personnel Landmines: A South Asian Regional Survey and Lethal Fields: Landmines and Improvised Explosive Devices in South Asia and was a regular contributor to the Landmine Monitor for the country sections on South Asian countries. She has also co-edited Reintroducing Human Security in South Asia, Consolidating Peace in Jammu and Kashmir, Terrorism and its repercussions on International Politics and Missing Boundaries: Refugees, Migrants, Stateless and Internally Displaced Persons in South Asia.
Dr Joseph is presently Deputy Director at the Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies

D. Suba Chandran
Dr Chandran's primary area of research includes Pakistan's internal security, in particular Balochistan, FATA and Northern Areas. He also works on Kashmir, terrorism, particularly Suicide Terrorism and armed conflicts in South Asia.
